OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE TRULY THE “HEART OF HOSPICE"
A Audubon Hospice volunteer is a specially trained individual who provides assistance to patients, their families, and those experiencing grief. Many volunteers are in the healthcare sector and there is an extensive screening, testing/ training program that prepares our volunteers to provide support and companionship to patients and families. Volunteers do the same kinds of things much like a good neighbor would. Our volunteers are truly the "Heart of Hospice" and they listen, read, provide companionship, and help with things like puzzles, scrapbooks and chores.
